The music I'll be playing is, shall we say, genre specific, so I think mainstream festivals are a no-go!

You're not the first to say positive things about San Diego. I know the first gig is in Chula Vista which is next door so fingers crossed I'll get to have a look around. It's not till next year anyway so plenty of time to wait & see what happens.

Pittsburgh is another very underrated city: one of my favourites in the whole

Detroit has a massive House scene, you could always check that out.

I have probably met more Yanks over the years than a lot of you. I have to put up with their quirks and sometimes it's too much but hey ho they probably feel the same over there with tourists.
When they finally look at a map and see the boundary of the their country they might be less annoying.

House music really isn't my bag but cheers anyway. I like punk mainly and hardly any music at all that doesn't contain distorted guitars.

Sadly it's not my band nor my agent - I have no idea what his is. Funny you should mention Pittsburgh though, it's on my radar anyway as an old school friend of mine lives there and we chat occasionally on farcebook. He speaks highly of the place, but then he did spend most of his early life in Grotspot so that's not much to go by.

I didn't think it would be your bag tbf, I was being somewhat of a scamp.

After a couple of days of absolute luxury in a private beach house on Newport Beach / Balboa Peninsula, I am happy to report that the tubby count here is effectively zero and the native Californians are a delight..

Would be very easy to forget that I'm here to work.. :D

Hoping to do a mini road trip in California next year so any 'must see' tips welcome! I particularly want to see the Redwood forests.

My niece lived in Pittsburgh, coincidentally. It's an unglamorous city, a bit like Sheffield, lots of dereliction from when it was the steel producing capital of America.

Seen a lot of the seaports, New York is like nowhere else but Seattle is the favourite. Intelligent people spent a month there and not one unpleasant encounter. Felt at home there, rains a lot.
