It'll go straight in the bin without being read.
If needs to be short, to the point and not a rant.
OK, in that case, you write a short and to the point one here which shouldn't take too long and we can have a look at it and maybe send both to Mr Bowler?
If I was going to write to him I wouldn't post it on here...
However, if I did I'd ask what I asked on the other thread -
"We have an academy that apparently costs £500k a year to run but brings in considerably more than that in transfer fees.
Given those facts you'd think that we'd be at a financial advantage to other similarly sized and positioned clubs.
So why aren't we?"
Why wouldn't you post it on here? Why wouldn't you post any reply on here?
Ever heard of a petition? An email in secret that is not replied to is
re: Letter to John Bowler.
A petition and a letter are different things.
I think posting a letter on here before sending it would make it less likely to get a response.
I think that publicly posting a reply to a letter that was addressed to me and only me is just disrespectful and rude.
re: Letter to John Bowler.
OK, lets call it a petition?
'Petition to John Bowler'..
Sounds better too and a more collective response than from one disgruntled fan.
I think this board will suffice as evidence rather than a collection of signatures that had to be cajoled!
AL and Mojo top of the petition!
Keep them coming. That was a good suggestion.

I think it'd get a lot of signatures if it was worded correctly (and calmly) and was just asking for answers.
Get the signatures before a match, at half time etc... Then hand it to him personally during the second half.
re: Letter to John Bowler.
Not so sure Bowler opens his own E Mail don't forget he has family in the office do EVERYTHING for him, so it MAY be them deleting it before he even sees it> just a thought!!
So keep sending it until he replies.
re: Letter to John Bowler.
Hi Mike,
I share a lot of your feelings on this one and am increasingly frustrated by the club's failure to come clean on what's going on. TBH, even if you put together an email worthy of an answer from the Prime Minister, I don't believe you'd get a straight answer from the board.
My own opinion is that if callers to Radio Stoke can't get them to start asking pertinent questions about why our finances are so bad the national media e.g. callers to 606 on Radio 5 might be a way forward.
I won't hold my breathe though. I think it was Jules Hornbrook who once wrote about talking to John Bowler about the club's finances a while ago (and sorry Jules if it wasn't you). Basically, after a long discussion which seemed informative at the time, looking back he realised that Mr. Bowler hadn't actually said anything of substance so he was none the wiser.
Apart from the media angle, the other weakness in the directors' position is that they sit in the stand at every home game. Apart from ch

If it were me (although it won't be), I'd go for multiple angles that are calm, rational, repatable on Radio Stoke and can't be ignored.
So... Ask for answers to a specific question in the least loaded way possible rather than anyone's head on a plate.
Organise a banner, some sort of Twitter thing (like a hashtag), present a few thousand signatures collected from around the ground during the game in front of everyone and finally get it all over P&G - so the question that you ask to be answered has to be suitably vague. I think my suggested wording would probably pass.

I thought my first effort was calm and rational and addressed most of the issues and haven't called for anyone's head? Suitably clear you mean, not suitably vague. That's asking for a non reply.
To be honest, I think the results will pile more pressure on the board and boos by the crowd, than any individual email. It will still be sent though!
re: Letter to John Bowler.
In the old days this would have been an open letter via the media signed by a large number of supporters
Probably something web based would be better now - or social media (I am no expert)
The draft which opened this thread is way too long and should just ask questions
There is the germ of a campaign for openness here which could be built on
Needs a chantable slogan / strapline involving
seeking wanting an explanation

How about "Hassall, where's the cash? Hassall,Hassall, where's the cash?"
