Succinct and to the point, Lestiverton. The lovely football was not just by one side, Bolton looked a very professional outfit at times ... we were just better apart from a few costly mistakes. :-DQuote:

The real challenge is to take that level of performance into the even more competitive league games.
We have to cut out the defensive errors, conceding two goals within 90 minutes in every home game will not see us win many.
The full backs (Tootle particularly) and wide players have to do more to stop the oppo getting crosses in (far too easy to cross the ball into the Crewe penalty area).
Very harsh to blame Garrett for the first Bolton goal (a great cross with plenty of time and space to deliver it) - he was at fault for the third one though.
Midfield looked much better balanced - can see that we'd need Grant for away games and more steel - but much more fluid, I think Liam Nolan will eventually become a key player for us, he was excellent until he tired.
We've found a real centre forward in Haber. Oliver was athletic, mobile and powerful too but just does n't threaten the opposition goal sufficiently
I wonder how many of the 133 that travelled to Swindon went last night? I know I didn't bother - it's all well and good seeing 'last night was well worth paying for' but I get the feeling after a 300 mile journey and a £25 ticket on Saturday to see the players not show up some people might have thought differently.
I don't care about seeing that in the cup. Where was that performance on Saturday??
Really understand your frustration. I didnt go to Swindon, but by all accounts we were woeful.Quote:

- he needs to find a way to get that level of performance out of Brad week in, week out. I thought that was his best performance since his loan spell with us
- he may need to stregthen at CH (assume bring someone in?), as we're light
I can see where you are coming from but i missed my first away game on Saturday as i was not going to pay £25 + £20 on the bus to a place were we do awful, so i spent the money i saved on last nights game and i was not disapointed. I'm braving it this Saturday but another dear day for us diehards but the gills is a happy hunting ground for us.Quote:

During the enforced break it looked like SD and Bakes handed out drinks, and not much else.
On a positive note Steve actually managed to make a meaningful substitution, with 20 minutes still remaining, and Haber had enough time to make a difference.
Sorry that George Ray was injured but at last Guthrie got to play in the position the SD says he is best at. Thought he looked better in the middle, but lets be honest, SD would never have dropped Ray for him, after letting Ellis go to enable Ray's development.
If we can reproduce last nights form, at home, for the rest of the season,
