I've only ever been moved to invade the pitch in anger once, that was after Tiler's backpass that laid on Palace's 3rd(seconds after we'd pulled it back to 1-2)in the infamous 2-4 game.
Thankfully 2 mates held me back. What a usless lump he was.
I would have to say that Lee Mills who played in that game was also useless but he did redeem himself the season after by playing quite well as an emergency CH.
Seen so many terrible players Ertl isn't the worst imho.Carl tiler was indeed awful. My own worst favourite would be Kenny Black. He couldn't run ,couldn't pass and infact he couldn't do much of anything.
I said the self same thing to Dave Bowers on Express fm but he disagreed emphatically.
Kenny Black little mincey run :blue:
Johnny, Johnny gave us a goal :star:
Big Jack obviously taken off before he earned a red card.
On comes Mr.Dependable, shores up the defense and scores a great goal to get us a point.
Worst player ever? How dare you!!! ;D
As Charlie Brown would say...good grief.
Worst player I have ever seen at our club.[/quote]Quote:

The introduction of Jonny was a change in Awfs original thinking which tbf I thought was flawed in the first half. The three centre halves sat too deep and none of them were coming to meet the ball when the opposition threatened. This made the midfield undermanned and the two strikers isolated. I know the idea is to get the full backs forward but it didn't happen often enough for me. I think this is a poor system better suited to playing away and with only one striker. Jonny came on and played the holding midfield role simply and calmly allowing other players to get forward and the side to have balance.
Other positives: Dunne, Robinson, Butler (first half but then he is an Islander so I would say that) and of course Jed who didn't have his best game but showed some much needed flair and energy.
Good game though, good game. ;D
