That was a shockingly poor performance.
The term uninspired springs to mind.
It was a friendly, ffs.
I thought there were promising signs. I thought there was some really nice movement and passing between certain players, and I am hopeful that we are at the start of a new era.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to be a star, and Sterling and Sturridge particularly look like they are going to be a real handful for any defence once they get a bit more England time under their belts. I also thought Welbeck was really good for the time he was on. That alone almost guarantees some derisive responses and questions about what game I was watching.:blue:
I decided to read War and Peace instead last night but they tell me it was the usual uninspiring England dross in a third full Wembely. I don't know why Woy doesn't give a go Mark Noble in midfield, surely he can contribute something to that shyte?
