Ray does not have the temperament for the Alex. Let him go. Even when he plays well (I've not actually seen a game when he has consistently been OK) he makes mistakes that have been punished.

Tootle is now fit again (he was on the bench yesterday); and Tate has to be persuaded to come back on loan.

Here's my 'of no use' tuppence worth...

Nev, ME was deemed too expensive and made too many mistakes. Like it or not (and I rated him) we can't all pick the squad or we'd have 100 players at the moment. It was a decision and is done, he is in Lg 2 remember.

DGFG, they would say/argue that all young defenders make these mistakes and it is how they become great - just read twitter to see that message. A lot of fans are frustrated, but then a fair number are 'cyber coaches' and see the wider picture (and maybe don't think relegation is bad?). He is marmite that is for sure.

Again, Ray has been sent off for stupidity rather than anything serious. He knew he shouldn't put his hand on the ref but did it and @ Oldham, he didn't need to touch their player and give him the opportunity to fall theatrically. Forte wasn't in possession of the ball and it was running away from him into a less threatening place so Ray should have just defended properly & ushered him away (basic defending that he shouldn't need to 'learn' at this stage of his career). Again, we seemed to do better without him, maybe Stewart will get the chance and can keep him out but, as others have said, he seems as though he'll be back in as soon as he can.

Unfortunately, he overshadowed a great result and we are talking about him rather than another great show from Ben or Ajose's sublime finish.
