My four year old daughter pointed to the queens badge on the Status Quo poster and asked who the men were. I said that its a band that are going to play music at Palmerston. She immediately replied " Is it we know our manners" Well, what do you say ? #brainwashed
Big Country announced as support act today with more acts to follow. Excellent news. S
See the official site and BBC New site for more details.
So still no build up to our biggest game of the season on the OS but more news on this pesky concert :(
Arrol, unless and until you and many others can find alternative ways of attracting more people through the turnstiles for our home matches, then would you please refrain from behaving like a record that is stuck?
A blind alien from Uranus could understand that profits realised from a concert will be reinvested into the club as the sport continues to die in Scotland.
Contrary to your anal frustrations, the adverts for the Quo concert are continually reminding people of Palmerston and subconsciously some people may consider going to a match as a result.
QOS is an extremely well run club, which cannot survive on average gates of 1500 home fans. The club must diversify to attract investment to allow the directors to keep a full time team on the park.
Do I need to dot any more i(s) for you?
Does anyone know how ticket sales are going for this? I remember, in my youth, being witness to the collapse of a student organisation brouQuote:

Now to try and make money from a Status Quo concert great idea to use Palmy in the close season.
In the close season when there is no football income everyone still has to be paid.
ill advised promotion of, not in!
totaly agree with jardi here ,this concert has the potential to gain queens hundreds of thousands profit ,if its a success ,and if it is a success bring on some more concerts ,the word will get out that [palmy is a decent concert venue and will attract bigger bands and bigger profits .
Jardi , just make things clear I've nothing but great admiration for the 3 guys on the board & those former directors who've help the club out financially & put the club where it is today .
This concert may or may not make Queens a decent profit , let's hope it does but I get frustrated with the lack of PR for games at times . I honestly thought we'd see some pre match build up to the game on Friday evening as it's arguably our best game in years .
I'll say no more on the subject and wish you a good day
C'mon you Queeeeens
