I must admit that I have never understood this 'looks good in training' mantra.

If a player is playing well week by week, it should make no difference what he does against his mates in the week. Its not the same competition at all. But it gives another excuse for the manager. The fans ought to know that is a silly statement though. I heard Dario say it a thousand times.. ;)

Maybe that's why we miss out on some really good players.
