re: ot Greece vote no to austerity
i for one hope greece go back to the drachma and hols there will hopefully become cheaper :)
do they not have the same problem as us ? debt and not wanting to be dictated to and run via the back door via germany ?
the european union has grown out of control by egotistical people from the common market we signed up for :/
are they not doing the same all over again by allowing rumania in etc ?
re: ot Greece vote no to austerity
Great post from Fensmiller...Sums it all up with great clarity and is factual.

ps the reason why it ballooned is that it was growing at record rates under Labour - they are now stopping an ocean liner of debt and it takes years to turn it round - get ready to squeal midweek when they do some more cutting of wasteful spending in order to stop the ballooning of debt that was set in train by labour. Oh and yes we can be debt free - we ran a surplus in the 80's and paid back debt. We can eliminate the debt and then spend the money and interest saved on a better future for all - first we must tackle the debt - must must must.
What a load of rubbish. Just parroting Cameron and Osbourne. Honestly, it's as i

Quite right gramiller. I often hear that we went to war in 1939 to protect our shores and our British values and way of life, because we did not want to be ruled by a Federal Europe governed from Germany. So here we are in 2015, part of a Federal Europe, governed by Germany.
re: ot Greece vote no to austerity
[quote="Fensmiller"]Surprisingly - some good posts but Fensmiller let it down with the usual communist repost to paying your way - we don't and it's someone else's fault.
MONEY is stored up work - we would work the fields and harvest and save it to live over the winter - now we work and store the work in money to live off when we choose. The Greek people elected socialists who borrowed the money (work) of hard working people (mainly Germans) and paid too much in wages and pensions to their lazy countrymen - who then enjoyed themselves at other peoples expense - they have to pay it back with interest - but they don't want to they want to keep on spending money that's not theirs - so they vote in the
at it's not austerity or suffering it's just living within your means). Tisparas are trying to blackmail the people who lent them the money by way of ruining their pet project - the Euro - write off our debts or we will

Bloody Greeks, what do they think they are doing having a referendum?
The way they've been acting you would have thought they had invented democracy.

I bet this little gag made Crashbangs day.
re: ot Greece vote no to austerity
You're a more difficult nut to crack Walt.
re: ot Greece vote no to austerity
You could spin this either way. So much for democracy or that the people are totally out of touch with the reality of life. I think the latter.
I fear we will get a similar disjoint with reality when we get our in/out vote on Europe.
