I don't think Wolves started that great greavsey, conceded the early goal and could've been a couple more behind in the opening twenty minutes or so. It took a while for Wolves to find their feet if you ask me, but once Wolves started to get McDonald on the ball and Coady getting in some decent challenges Wolves looked better. Under pressure in the opening twenty minutes the mentality was to look for the run of Edwards, Afobe or Dicko.
I enjoyed the game, it may have been just a friendly, but it was played in some thing like a cup tie and atmosphere to go with it.
Wolves showed that can dig deep against better players and as well as the two goals could have had a couple more.

I only watched the first half but that is pretty mutch what I saw. McDonald hardly in the game, no composite midfield play. The truth is Villa were more compotent and relaxed and worked through mid field as a unit. But maybe splaying it wide is what Kenny is looking for. Dunno.

Ok so it was only a friendly but for 20 mins we didn't seem to have a midfield. Well I suppose we did but I'm not sure it knew how it was supposed to play! The lack of at least one natural wide man looked bloody obvious with us leaving gaping holes in the centre of the park that Villa took advantage of. We were damned lucky not to be at least two down after ten minutes and it was only when Iorfa started to overlap with Henry we started to look threatening ourselves. We offered little from the left side in attack and that's a bit worrying. You can get away without any natural old style wingers if you have at least one really good attacking midfielder that can play the role, especially if there is a competent wing-back to cover but I don't think we have. Although Iorfa is a promising youngster Henry doesn't have the consistent delivery. On the other side I'm not sure Goldbourne is a natural wing-back,he always seems to get too close to the player he's covering that it just stalls the tem
