George Farm was just at the end of his Queens career when I started attending so I didn't see too much of him. I would have to say "Bally" is my choice as No.1 not only because of his undoubted ability but his loyalty to the Club and he was a mainstay in my formative years watching Queens. It's difficult to pick other favourites from different eras but I would probably choose Davidson and Lee Robinson to complete my top 3.
On the subject of "Keepers" I see Calum Antell is back in the SPFL with Edinburgh City. Sorry to mention his name in such auspicious company.
Perhaps others could fill in some details but I seem to remember a game, perhaps about the Colin Scott time, when we played three different keepers in a game, an away game I think. 1st choice keeper got injured, substitute keeper also got injured and either an outfield player or another sub went in goals.
It was David Craig replacing Colin Scott who had already replaced Richie Barnard in a match at St Mirren according to QOS archive.Quote:

I think Queens have had a number of good keepers in my time of watching them. Possibly the standard of goalie has been far better than the back four in front of him a lot of the time . Davidson saved us from some hidings in this regard. On the subject of Bally, I seen him mostly coming to the end of his QoS career . I have met him a number of times in the last few years and his passion for Queens is never in any doubt at all , still burning as bright as ever at 70 years old or more.
Now that we have talked about the cream of QoS goalies, what about the other side of the coin. Rikki Ferguson was quite hapless and the same with a certain Derek Hoy. John Burridge was awful as well. What about yours ?
Antell and Corr immediately spring to mind.
ETA: Burridge was probably a few years past his best but he did give a bit of entertainment.
I remember John Burridge swinging on the match day.
