Tony…see your point but with JCH out of contract at the end of the season there will be no 4th option so to speak as he will be a total free agent….the job now is for Warne to do the talking to re sign him (if interested in him) and see how it plays..

My feelings are he will look to take the highest wage as loyalty to a footballer means nothing these days….

Yes the club nursed him back to good health so to speak but that was because they had an obligation to do so under the contract between club/player so there can be no hard feelings if he walks away though some may see it differently on here...

We hold the option Brin. We could extend his deal at any time up until June 30th and there is nothing he can do about it. I don't believe we will as the wages on the automatic extension are more than we will want to pay.

Didn't know that pal.... would be best to let it end then as to pay him over the odds wouldn't be practical and would also upset the rest of the squad pay wise....

It's all down to JCH and where he sees his future in football.... he's young and has many years ahead of him but his attitude may get the better of him let's wait and see

I'm not sure he showed much last season to warrant another contract. We're their even a glimmer of talent?
With the exception of the wonder goal very early doors I can't remember him doing anything else
He prob will be better in league one as he will give the CB a tough time but from what we have seen so far he's miles away from another contract.

If that's right about his attitude and being a poor trainer then Warney definitely won't want to keep him as he doesn't like footballers with that sort of character.
My grandson played for the same academy as Warney's son and Paul once said to me that Leon Best wasn't "a Rotherham type of player."
JCH became quite friendly with Best and they seemed to be similar in character.
My guess is that JCH will be playing for someone else next season.
