My uncle introduced me to Gazza in a working men’s club in Gateshead when he played for Spurs! First couple of hours were absolutely mint then alcohol took over and The rest of the night was a blur. Top bloke though funny as hell.

Have spoken to most of the Reds players over the years at some point I really liked Jim Dobbin though he was down to earth and a proper Gent.
Had an argument in a club in Sheffield though with the whole team! We had just been beaten at home by Blackpool and they were in this club having the time of their lives laughing and joking.....A mate of mine told them I was a reds fan and Rory Fallon came over and I told him to do one! He called me a tosser and a few heated words ensued, Mitch Ward got involved and I said something like “please go away you S H I T midget or you will miss the next game through Injury!
It got a bit out of hand after I addressed them all as the worst team to ever step out at Oakwell and they should be at home Contemplating why not one of them had not shown any effort at all and had let down every reds supporter there tonight.
I was politely asked to leave the club, which I did with a few loud expletives Aimed in their direction.

Av only met Roma once fo five minutes artside the Mount. The other time we were due to meet wo when tha arranged to meet Kazzie and him at the Mount to bring Roma sum spice but none of us knew what he looked like. Remember those golden days when thee and Roma gorron like a 'arse on fire ?

Years ago I worked at Naylors pipe works at Denby Dale and in the summer we had a young lad working with us.He was studying at Hull University.A very nice quiet sort who played a bit of football.His name was Tony Galvin who went on to have a great career with Spurs.I went to a party in a pub in Tamworth and the landlord was Alan Birch.My favourite was when a bloke asked me directions to Oakwell.I got in the car with him only to realise it was Nobby Stiles who was going to see Mark Robinson who he had coached at West Brom.
I met Dean Gorre in ticket office before Wimbledon game in relegation season. I said why aren't you playing are you injured. He said no Steve Parkin doesn't like look of me. We drew a drab game 1 a piece.
I think it wa abit moor than 5 mins SB , you and your son made me and my son very welcome and thank you , you plied most of the Mount with your generous Pie donation , from that day on and although we haven't met since , i ill always regard you as a good friend , your a top blowk in my estimation and always will be , as for that night in the mount when nobody knew who I was ?
