Midfield playmaker playing the Fyvie role. Seems to have slightly more attacking presence than Fyvie.
Got to be happy with this signing. Scotland international at all youth levels, has plenty of experience, box to box midfielder which is what we need. Colchester fans appear to rate him also. Well done getting him in early :)
I’ve heard that we’ve got 2 French guys on trial this week. One a striker and the other a midfielder (doesn’t look like he’ll get a deal since Slater signed). Anybody got anymore info on them?

Was kind of hoping we would have players lined up. Not so sure about taking guys on trial hasn't really worked out that well recently. Maybe Ciftci the last successful trialist but at least he played a couple of games pre season before a decision was made.
Agree on both counts - however I think the only way this could possibly happen, however unlikely, would be for him to be released completely by Celtic and actually sign for United. I don't think we'd be allowed to get him on loan. Thing is, an on form Ciftci would rip this poxy League right up.Quote:
