If he goes there it will do nothing for his CV - he needs to prove himself in the Championship now - hopefully with us

If he new owner comes in he's got 40million in parachute fees to help get them out of the 3rd division.Yes, he'll need some of that to pay some of the squad but there'll be plenty left for the new man to fathom a promotion with . They've also got another season of parachute payments after that.
Who does the new owner know who can work with little money and get teams promoted?
Who, THROUGH NO FAULT OF HIS OWN has an uncertain future due to disputes between his present employers ( not because of anything he has done)? (It will eventually come out what's happening between the owners but what we do know is who triggered the isssue. :(
Which club, regardless of allegiance, does that man have a better chance of spending enough to get back to the PL?
At the moment, if you analyse it closely , Sunderland are in a better position than us to get back to the PL before us given the present, uncertain state of play at SUFC.
He's a BLADE but , unlike any of us his job, his career is as a football manager and that allegiance is less important when it comes to his personal life.
I'm sure he'd love to stay but we love him for being open, honest and pragmatic and I am sure all of us would be the same about our career too.
Unattractive ? in what way, fantastic fan base, best squad in the division even when you offload the high earners, higher personal salary and big budget, yes they will struggle to attract a new manager. They will win it easy and come back in a year in a better position to challenge for the prem.
Yep - reckon they have a great chance - but they still have an overpaid undertalented squad that they need to get rid of - the problem won't go away easily Hard work.....plus they struggle to attract players to that part of the world.
If Wilder is going anywhere - right now he should stay in the Championship - careers are short for football managers, he's already 50 and I don't think taking a step down is the right choice at the moment. Only my opinion tho.
Overpaid not undertalented for division 3, it will be the strongest squad by far. If they want to offload give them free transfers to get them off the books, a new manager might get them playing for the club again, Wilder certainly had that effect here.
I think Wilder will stay but calling this job unattractive and believing that its an untalented squad is naive at best
