as i read it.

the press has reported, on the basis of a study by Focaldata, that 112 Westminster constituencies are have ‘switched’ loyalties from Leave to Remain.

Focaldata used a YouGov sample of 15,000 voters, covering 632 constituencies. Therefore, the average sample in each constituency was just 24 persons. If you apply the basic laws of statistical sampling, any statement based on a sample of 24 persons has a margin of error of +/-16.78% with 90% confidence.

It follows that of the 112 constituencies, only four (Knowsley, Liverpool Walton, Southampton Test and Liverpool West Derby) can be said with 90% confidence to have a majority for Remain.

I couldn't help it -sinkov....being as , hidden inside of 59'60's post - there was a cryptic cipher, that when decoded - gave the senders name as a Captain Midnight - and the coordinates for a secret rendevous with a fellow called....something like - Heindrich - I would have reported it to the higher ups on here - but felt if we could deal with it ourselves...perhaps if he saw the error of his ways...and switched his allegiance - but fear he's already too far gone... !

I was with Sir David Crausby MP last night. He said that when it all comes down to the wire, the MP's will vote in their own and not the national interest.

About sums it up very succinctly I would have thought? >:)

I was starting to think last night BT that this entire farce has been scripted by Ben Elton and what we're watching is a cannily disguised prequel to his next series of Blackadder. Remember Captain Rum and his views on sailing a galleon without a crew ? All the world and his wife can see that Theresa's deal isn't going to get through parliament, but when asked she says "Opinion is dived on the matter, I say it will, everyone else says it won't". And her sheer obstinacy in persisting with her futile deal must be inspired by the Black Knight, she's had her arms and legs lopped off, but as her Cabinet desert her, all she can do is shout after them "Come back and fight you yellow *******s."

But it's not funny is it really, this isn't a TV comedy show, it's real life, and we have a lunatic running the country.

I think the overwhelming majority will go into whichever lobby the whips point them towards, which is in their own interest if they want to progress up the greasy pole, as most of them do.

And how is Sir David on Brexit BT ? Is he sound like you and Jeremy, does he want us out and the result of the referendum implemented, or is he a fully paid up member of the Remainer Establishment ?

He's a wily old fox is Sir David. He wants one more term as our serving MP, in his heart he is a Remainer, but the good people of Bolton voted to leave. Consequently he dances to the tune of the Bolton electorate, because it's in his best interests to do so. Strange thing is politics sinkov!
