.... and now there's a vacancy at PSV...........
I would be shocked if they came back in for him but then again he did well there last time and he knows the club inside an out
I'd sack him tomorrow, not sure why we hired him in the first place, BUT if he stays until the end of the season then it wouldn't bother me, we most likely wont go down, but unlikely to make the playoffs.
As for incoming, we need someone who can score goals surely, defence isn't that bad if the injured recover, but we are woefully short up front and its costing us big time, maybe Rooney is the key?
They come back to defend because they have been instructed to by this and the past half a dozen or more managers so we can't lay that at the players' door.
If they aren't getting ball, players at all levels will come back to try and get it. If they still aren't getting passed to they will become frustrated and that will either lead to bookings (Lawro) or a lack of movement (Coldplay) or haste in control when it does finally come and result in the gentle first touch of a rapist (Waggy).
At Reading, for the first time in ages, players were looking to play a forwards pass. Knight did get glared at early doors for doing so but when it started to create (half) chances, the more senior players followed suit, not all the time but it all led to us having 7 shots on target. That's as many as in the previous 3 or 4 games combined.
