You have to fear for the future of the club

How long will Dyche last at a club "better" than Burnley?? All fans have issues with their clubs; that's what we fans do, it's part of the fun and engagement we have with football. The clubs mentioned e.g Palace etc, are they really any better than us? Dyche will be out the door the first thing that goes wrong. There are chairmen with bigger egos than ours who think they know it all. What club then fits Dyche's playing style and mentality that is going to go higher in this mad league dominated by big money? Unless he at City or Chelsea then he's not getting further up the league than we are now and being a manger of "prima donna" players is not in our Dyche's skill set I don't think. The players will get you sacked as we know. Leaving us has many pitfalls and not quite as simple a decision as it first appears if you want to say in a job that is!!

With respect BT, your discussion with Dave Baldwin means absolutely nothing, talk is cheap and the "Same Vision" you speak of ? Garlick and Dyche was "On the same wavelenght" once, now look at them tentatively having disagreements that are being aired in public.

Dyche is not god and nobody is bigger than BFC, but he's the best thing to happen for our Club in a very long time, regardless of his faults, and there is no one out there with the same fit for BFC.

If he is forced out, BFC in the Premier League will be a thing of the past for many a year to come which eventually will mean back to the dark days.

I say "forced out" because everyone can see it, but the folk that matter apparently cannot, as I have said above Dyche has his faults just like any other Manager, but to not back him year after year at the risk of losing him is suicide, Garlick needs to release the keys to the dry powder room (not the kitchen sink) and back Dyche, BFC and himself, instead of *****footing about like the amataur I see him like.

As for investment, I cannot believe no one has made an offer for our Club, even a tentative suck it and see offer, or offered investment, I just don't believe it, but lets be honest, with Garlick we'd never know, all the while Garlick (the second hand car salesman) has said it should be someone who has BFC's best interest at heart and be a Claret, well I'm sure there are a few Millionaires in Burnley besides BT and David Fishwick, but we need someone with more clout than even Fishwick and BT conbined.

Garlick always rams down our throats that he is a Claret fan, maybe he is, but first and foremost he's a businessman, when the right offer comes around he'll rip their arm off, regardless of them being a Claret or a Towelhead.

And before anyone says Garlick has done wonders for our Club, he hasnt, he was lucky getting Dyche, Dyche has done all the graft with little help from above, and for me he's worked miracles.

The squad is bare, the squad is ageing, the squad is lacking creativity and talent, I have said a few seasons ago now that the longer the team is left without proper repair the more money it will take to bring it back to what it should be, Dyche has worked wonders with the bare bones he's been left with, but sooner of later, grit, determination, never say die attitude and luck will eventually leave you.

As above, we all can see how the squad is falling apart, we can all see that if Sean Dyche is forced out through lack of investment we can all say goodbye to the money league and settle for a lot of instability for BFC.

Bloody hell Alto, why would Mike Garlick "force out" Sean Dyche?

It seems to me you have fallen victim to SD's Annual "I Need More Money Dance". This is an annual event, it's like swallows and swifts arriving in April to propagate. It coincides with the opening of every transfer window and just when three or four clubs are looking for a new manager.

From a very reliable inside source I am told Dyche desperately wanted to keep Bardsley and Hendrick. Baldwin had already left the club, Neil Hart took up his official job on 16.03.2020. No time for him to settle in - BANG - COVID 19 hit us all and left our immediate SKY TV revenue up in the air.

If there is a rift, I suggest it is not between Garlick and Dyche it's now between Neil Hart and Dyche. Dave Baldwin and Sean sang from the same hymn sheet and were very strong allies in the war with "Mr Prudence". Hart has not been with Burnley Football Club long enough to forge new alliances and he is very much under the influence of Garlick.

Despite Dyche's insistence on retaining Hendrick and Bardsley their contracts ran down, but this COVID bollox meant we had to offer extended short term contracts to Hart, Lennon, Hendrick and Bardsley. You know what happened next? Hendrick fancied a stint with AC Milan (don't we all), Hart and Lennon were never staying and we have kept Phil Bardsley.

You insist we have an ageing squad (I call it experienced), you say we have a bare squad (suffered one loss in our last 16 Premier League fixtures). Don't fall for Dyche's hubris, he knows the score, we needed to know the revenue stream, amount and TV source to sustain us properly for next season.

I keep telling you Garlick is not daft, he is a safe pair of hands with the tiller under tight control. Yes, we would all like him to be a bit less frugal, but like sinkov constantly reminds us after the Wells, Hart and Gibson financial debacles, he might just need to convince himself to open the Dry Powder Room really is the best course of action?

Anyway on a brighter note the ageing, bare squad you are referring to looks likely to finish eighth, with a record tally of points and earn another £100 million plus from the TV money, to set us up nicely for yet another season in the EPL. No Director dividends will be paid (again) and Josh Brownhill looks a belter for £10 million quid. :D

I have explained why I call it forced out in my post BT.

Neil Hart, Baldwin or whoever, Garlick is the ringmaster (or should be).

Yes in 9th spot and maybe finishing 8th, with a squad of experienced players maybe, but ageing one's non the less, filled with players who are not up to it, Bardsley who is a reasonable right back but cannot keep up with pacey winger, the player he's keeping out Lowton is a very poor right back, Pieters again does the dirty work but again cannot keep up with even average pace, Iceman always on the treatment table and when he does get in the team he's well below average, Dyche wanting to keep Brady, Dyche wants to keep him (as bad as he is, like Iceman when he's not sick) because he's got phuck all to play with.

We have some talent in Pope, Westwood , Tarky, Mee, JayRod, Mac and Barnes, a few of those are ageing, the maybe players for me are Taylor, Long, Brownhill who for me still has to show himself, Wood who although scores goals looks ungamely on the ball a lot of the time, Vydra, Cork is yards slower than he used to be.

8th/9th is not bad, but its been a below par season for most in the PL regardless of Covid, and you cannot blame Covid for letting contracts run down as they did, as I've said before if they don't sign then get shut and sign players that want it.

This invisible man who we got in for transfers, he's that good and has his finger in every pie that I cannot even remember his last name, Michael something or other, what's he doing besides drawing a salary and telling us Peter Crouch was great for the Club ?

Its the same old same old with us 2 BT, you like to see us sitting pretty in a high position in the PL regardless of some very poor displays on the field, coupled with amateurish boardroom decisions, if that is you bag then fine, but if you cannot see as I've said in my other post that grit, sheer determination and luck will soon evaperate especially with too many weak links in the team, a small squad and ageing players then I would doubt your foresight.

Even the eejit media pundits are starting to wake up to the fact that we play in a way that epitomises Sean Dyche. He plans, he cajoles, he has created a really tight group of players (Crouchy was waxing lyrical the other night about him on TV). Grit, sheer determination and luck do not and cannot explain 16 clean sheets and 16 wins in the English Premier League up to press Alto.

If we could add another 5 good signings to these for next season I would be more than happy .In reality ,it's not going to happen as Garlic is tighter that a ducks @rse.

BT --much better to be playing football like Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Norwich, Watford, Fulham, Huddersfield because it is what the fans and the media want, they don't want to see Burnley getting clean sheets.

In the first 22 games of the season our opponents had 293 shots and scored 37 goals with just Everton having more than 20 shots in their 1-0 win at Goodison.
Since we were beat by Chelsea we have played 15 games and our opponents have had 231 shots and scored 11 goals.
Manchester United had 24 shots and didn't score against us at Old Trafford, Newcastle had 21 shots without scoring at St James Park, West Ham had 21 shots with a nil return at the London Stadium and Liverpool had 23 shots with 1 goal in our draw at Anfield.
City scored 5 in 19 shots on the first game after lockdown.

I would suggest that the fans should be happy when teams play Burnley because they average 14.16 shots per game, however, they only average 1.3 goals per game.
Here rests the case for a very good defence!

I just hope Neil Hart gets to grips with the contract situation because half of our established Premier League team are up for renewal within the next eleven months.

NOW is the time to sort it.

I have, I've praised the work Dyche has done on a shoe string, grinding results out with only two thirds of a team, poor performances yet yeilding results out of games regardless of embarrasing play which has seen us in the position we are in in the table.

The team/squad needs strenghtening, we need creativity, we need good back up and depth to the squad, our squad is too small for a PL Club which is ridiculous given the cash we have gained.

The poor progress with renewing contracts has always been shaby, but it should have been nipped in the bud, the recruitment which Garlick has stated was done by himself for some time because of another mess, again shaby for a PL Club, God knows what else has occured behind the scences.

You state "NOW is the time to sort it". I make you wrong BT, it should have all been sorted over 2 seasons ago,but if its not sorted soon it will be too late to keep Dyche and then the sh!t WILL hit the fan.
