A Friday night game as I remember it. Billy B was manager I think. Typical of our history. Even these days when we play and a commentator says so and so hasn't scored in over a year you can be sure he'll score against us. Some supporters today are too young to remember these things and wonder why all the negativity. I always tell people that I suffered a traumatic incident in chidhood. Then tell them about the 1975 European Cup Final.

Hard to forget that one or losing to Wolves in '72 when a draw would have got us the double. Dont think any club before or since have been asked to play on a Monday after a Saturday cul final. Grossly unfair.

Roofe wasn't even in the squad today. Probably injured, he usually is.
