We must end this culture of unelected bureaucrats who are de facto government ministers in number 10 Downing Street, spouting unrealistic ideologues and having enormous influence over the sitting Prime Minister.

We experienced it when Alistair Campbell had the ear of Tony Blair and history has just repeated itself with Dominic Cummings and Boris Johnson. We require a Parliamentary Watchdog set up with the exclusive brief to keep a constant eye on this unelected methodology of running the United Kingdom.

The Blair and Campbell alliance, and now Johnson and Cummings have undermined public trust not just in their kind of politics, but in the basic principles of democracy. We went to war in Iraq on a false premise and are now living under the throes of coercive, control measures not seen in the United Kingdom since World War 2.

We need no more of the contrived “Weapons of Mass Destruction” malarkey, no more shambolic efforts to contain a global pandemic which has wrecked our economy, created untold misery and unemployment. The reaction brought in its wake a culture of panic and fear, bringing societal division and social tensions, resulting in the construction of emergency government measures with extraordinary powers bestowed to a few.

One of the recipients of that power was the unelected Dominic Cummings who was known to attend SAGE crisis meetings. People like Cummings are a threat to democracy, and our MP’s are right to be fearful of this political chicanery and so should we.

What a scruffy little toe rag he is too!

What a bizarre little rant you're having BT. You appear to blissfully unaware of what Dominic's job was, what he actually got paid for. He was Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister, that's why he was known to attend SAGE meetings, it was his bloody job for FFS, he attended SAGE meetings then went back and told Boris what was being said, that's what he was supposed to do, that's what the Prime Minister has a chief advisor for, that's what he was paid to do.

You also seem to be under the impression that he had no right to be at SAGE meetings because he was unelected. Another bizarre assumption, I think if you check you'll find that no one else at a SAGE meeting was elected either.

The purpose of SAGE is to provide scientific evidence to the government of the day. Why on earth did Johnson need to use Cummings as a conduit to relay information? Do they not have an email account or fax machine at Downing Street? :confused:
