Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has warned Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that he could be axed from the starting XI after the striker's agent had a pop at the boss. Aubameyang has not performed to his usual high standard since penning a lucrative contract extension earlier this season.
Aubameyang's agent posted on social media earlier this week blaming Arteta for the side not creating enough chances for his client to finish.
But Arteta has hit back with a stern response and his solution to the problem could be to axe the club captain.
"No one is undroppable," Arteta said. "At the end of the day, we have to find the right players to win football matches.
Sadly, I can see the inevitable happening with Aubemeyang. Left out, comes on as a sub and scores his usual goal against us ----and I am an optimist!
