Agree although the way MM sets us up we would only have to defrost one half of the pitch
almost every player has regressed under him. Im not believing we didnt/don't have a single outfield player who couldnt make the step up and perform well at this level.
He has ruined their confidence, earlier in the season when we switched to 442 we actually looked ok and that was his opportunity to get the best out the attacking players, now when we do it we look horrendous... why? The manager has drilled it in to them that we are not good enough to play any way other than for a 0-0...His media interview weekly quote of "we are stepping up a level" to make excuses for them sets the tone that our players are out their depth.
I'm sorry but its absolutely rediculous to think we had a squad that won the championship and not 1 of them could make the step up. Of course we needed recruitments as some were clearly not good enough last season but a decent manager would have been able to improve at least a few of them.
You've got to factor in the fact our two strongest midfielders are injured for most of this bad run.
Good post,
Exactly the point I made in the first post on the thread, if anyone is being found out by stepping up a level it's looking more and more like MM.
Most Arabs have bought in to MM, and most including me will continue to support him and keep the faith, but now would be a good time to reward that faith.
