He could be another Ugbo.
But then again he might be another Ivan Toney.

Well that's a good point Pass , if we weren't going to sign him in the summer then why are we developing a kid for the benefit of Orlando City when we've got young strikers here ?
Makes no sense , this $20m buy clause has to be a red herring .
There's no other credible way of looking at this because this ownership don't develop young players for other clubs , it's not the strategy .
I know we took Ludwig last season on loan but that was from a different position in the league and a necessity and James was an older experienced player to help us up the table after a poor start to this season .
I’m expecting something between the two.
But progressing very quickly.
Although this guy has shoulders ....... big shoulders.
YouTube clip shows a player that’s a bit like a taller version of Mamadou Thiam.
Powerful.
Big Val will like him as he’s a fan of American Football and with the sound of it Dike could have been an American Football player.
Meanwhile from the other side:
However, don’t panic Orlando City SC supporters!
In other words, Luiz Muzzi and the Orlando City SC Front Office are purely exposing Daryl Dike to a higher level of competition before the striker returns to Exploria Stadium re-energised.
Speaking after the move was confirmed, Luiz Muzzi said: “We believe this opportunity with Barnsley will present another step in his [Dike’s] career, to not only develop in a new footballing environment, but to challenge himself in a new country and we’re excited for him to bring those learnings back to us here in Orlando.”

OC fan here, this guy is raw talent. Name is pronounced Dee-Kay. Massive presence, great holdup play, can do it all. Great speed for his size, expect him to do well.
Some pillacking going on here , question is whose doing it .
Spud keeping Val happy with another striker and trying to convince the fans it's a view to becoming permanent , ST renewals will be out in a couple of months .
Or
Orlando keeping their fans happy whilst he sold through the back door at an undisclosed rate .
My problem Poggy is that if this lad does turn art to be the loan version of Callum Brittain then we simply can't afford him.
Tha'd think that Orlando would want around 2.5million minimum if Dike comes in, does really well and bags 8 or 9 goals for us. Thats not to mention the other interest he will attract from the bigger championship clubs who could dangle a far bigger carrot than we can.
I really dont understand this signing, we should've signed him outright now or gone with Victor or Morris. We're on a lose lose imo.
perhaps a fee may have been agreed and the loan is for the player to see if he can settle and play in the English game.who knows, and i for one dont care if he scores goals
