The 2 coming down won't have any.

Don’t think there will be a lot of money flying around the National League next season. Chesterfield have blown a shed load this season, granted they have took some wedge in from the cup run. Borehamwood have secured there future with there own cup run, but can’t see them going big on player recruitment.
Clubs like Notts, Solihull, Southend, Grimsby and Yeovil will all be around the top 7 should all be that league next season.
Here’s hoping we are not.
This is the best case scenario if we miss out. With only one automatic promotion place I can’t see this league being any easier next season for that reason. Of course it helps without big spenders in there but I’d expect one of the ex league clubs would be up there like ourselves, Grimsby, Yeovil, Southend, and then someone like a Harrogate, Barrow, or Sutton who comes from nowhere.
The best chance we have of getting promoted is right here right now this season. We need to really push on now during the business end and get those points and secure our playoff place. We’ve got a great opportunity to build some momentum with the remaining games. Although I share others cautious views that expecting Notts to win all our remaining games plus three playoff games may mean we need to take a loss in one of the remaining league games so statistically we don’t go into the playoffs on a seven game winning run. Of course it would be a fantastic achievement if we did achieve such a feat and any promotion would be well deserved.
A big issue for me with our run in is that we are unlikely to come under any significant spells of pressure. Spells where we need to defend properly. Where we will have the ball for 60-65% of games. Then when we play someone decent we could be well off the pace.
Take the Kings Lynn game. They should have been 2 up before we scored. The second opportunity went begging… teams like Grimsby, Solihull etc won’t let us off.
It will be a test of IBs management skills as to how we navigate the remaining games, keeping the squad fit and hungry so we are prepared properly for the tougher tests that await (should we not blob up).
Hopefully IB will mix the team up a bit in the run in. I am sure we will slip up against someone its bound to happen but if we can keep the core of our squad as fresh as possible it would be good. Does anyone know the latest on Cameron? I think he is key to our play off chances. most of the teams we are playing are already doomed. I would sooner we had more credible opposition in a game or two but it is what it is. With what we have in front of us anything less than 4th place is under achievement unless someone else does the unimaginable. Would fancy our chances away at Halifax, can't see us getting past Wrexham with their support and squad strength.
Yes. It should be a lot more competitive down at the bottom as well. The relegation issue has been pretty much a foregone conclusion for months. Dover are a basket case whilst Kings Lynn and Weymouth both came from nowhere - promoted straight from tier 7 to 5 in two seasons - and are clearly way out of the depth.
Of those most likely to come up.....
Gateshead, now over their financial crisis, are a solid non-league club who reached the play off final in 2014. Brackley have finished 3rd, 3rd and 4th over the last 3 seasons in tier 6 and won the FA Trophy in 2018, Maidstone had three seasons in the 5th tier recently (2016-19) and Ebbsfleet finished 6th at this level in 2018.
For sure. If one of those doesn't go up this season, they'll likely be champions next season. Without either to contend with, I'd fancy our chances of mounting a series promotion push next season, depending on how the summer goes and who stays. I guess our main rivals for that would be Grimsby and Chesterfield.
Chesterfield could be in trouble next season. They've been funded this year by non recurring money from an insurance policy and a cup run.
Once they're back to a money in, money out scenario, with the remainder of a 15 year £1,000,000 loan to pay back to 2 councils at commercial rates (and interest rates are only heading one way), you could see problems looming for them.
Ah I see. I did wonder how they'd funded this season's spending spree. Looks like they gambled pretty heavily on promotion. Ouch.
Grimbsy then. They have a decent manager. It's always a tough place to go. I can see them building more momentum into next season and being right up there.
