TS quoted a couple of years ago that if we sold 8500 season tickets he would extend the Family stand with another tier. It would cost £5M. It would cost more now. The away fans the could use the bottom tier up to the halfway line. This would be only allowed for away families.
Bearing in mind that our prices have remained the same for 10yrs, is a price rise in the offing? Or were we overpriced 10years ago? He gets £1m rent from RUFC when we're in the Championship, don't know what the cost is in L1. Could he just charge more rent if the building work is done? What we don't know is what happens when the stadium has paid for itself through the rent?
I think that the £1m is to pay for the mortgage on the ground each year regardless of division we're in. Maybe the financial situation right now doesn't allow for the extension.
