It won’t happen, but I think we should limit Grimsby (if it is them) to as few as fans as possible.
I think we do negate our home advantage in these big games by having a stand full of away fans opposite the tunnel when the players come out.

Daggers will be gutted they haven't made it to 7th...I think Wrexham, on such a roll, will win there.
With a better goal difference for Wrexham, Stockport need 4pts from the Torquay and Halifax games. Torquay are tough and Halifax have it all to play for. Stockport are still favourites but they've put themselves in a pickle and could well blow it....
That'd make the prize for beating Grimsby at home a lot more attractive IMO, going to Stockport rather than Wrexham.
Chatting to a couple of mates who don't support Notts who were at the Coventry play-off game and they couldn't believe we allowed them the full stand.
I know the more bums on seats the extra the revenue but in games of massive importance I would rather just give them the Z block and James Corden off the rest of the stand. Alternatively let them have the family stand and Z Block - get the Alan Hardy half an inch mural re-painted for graffiti purposes.
Yeah, Playoff games for me we shouldn't be looking at the money aspect, we should be looking at the advantages aspect. Us going up is worth way more than a couple more thousand tickets sold to away fans. I believe there are rules though that state we have to give a certain percentage of tickets but I think it's something like 10% so that would be 2,000
Probably no coincidence that Mansfield have had such a good record at ML since they've been allowed to fill an entire stand and that Notts lost both home games to Sheff Wed when they made us feel as though we were away. That first game after promotion against Huddersfield sticks out as well, I felt like we'd lost that match before we'd even kicked off - we got absolutely battered 3-0.
I'll always wonder too if handing the whole of County Road to Everton in the FA Cup Quarter final made the difference, seeing that we'd won 1 drawn 1 and lost 1 of the three league clashes before it and that Everton were the third lowest scorers and 15th in the table (so not that great) at the time that game took place.
Imagine if Middlesbrough or Bolton had been given the whole of County Road in the Warnock play offs rather than being in the corner behind the goal. Would we have still won both of those games?
I really hope they are thinking this through as there’s no second leg, I could imagine Grimsby or anyone thinking great but we’ll restrict their number of fans. I know Notts try to do the right thing but in a sport and something we focus on, marginal gains is everything and I would say this is more than marginal.
