I think unless we have some very exceptional young players it’s hard for Notts to blood them at the moment. This season we obviously have aspirations of winning the league, then top 3 and worse case playoffs quarter matches which means for the majority of the season if not all we have to be at it and can’t carry anyone. Alternatively if say we were L1 10 games to go and little chance of play offs or relegation then you can use that opportunity to try younger players.
I don’t think going out on loan should be seen as a bad thing, at any level.
Absolutely not, look at Patterson dropped 2 leagues, after a shaky start showed he was more than capable of playing mens football and then excelling and now playing championship. It’s up to the players to show they can cut it.Quote:

It's all well and good playing in U23 teams or a development team at any club but there can be no substitute for playing men's competitive football whether that be in League One or non-league step 2 or 3.
I'd be interested to hear why Bob thinks it's so bad and wrong especially in this instance. Always good to hear both sides.
Agreed. But what we need now is to have our players improve while out on loan and then come back and make it for us. I can remember us sending plenty of young players out on loan before over the past decade, but no subsequent successes. Or am I missing someone?Quote:
