Not sure about my first match but I do recall standing on the Bee Hole End when the weakened first team were playing at Chelsea. I think we were losing 4-0 but brought it back to 4-4. Burnley got fined for fielding a weakened side ahead, I think, of a cup match. No idea what year that was.
I used to go regularly in the 60’s. There was a gated section in what is now the Bob Lord Stand. It was 6d extra to go in there. The wall pitch side was white and relatively low. A great view from there.
It was the 1960/61 season when we drew 4-4 with Chelsea, 3rd round FA Cup and played a "weakened" team because of a European Cup tie in mid-week.Quote:
