If they don't let him go he'll do what he did with us, throw his dummy out and refuse to play.
I’m interested Mal why you thought he was such a failure for us.
Personally I thought he was a very talented footballer , placed in a sinking team - we signed him because Dyche thought he’s 6ft 8 and that will fill the void of wood.
Reality is / was that he was a much better footballer than we gave him credit for , he just needed To not be a battering ram and given proper service ( to his strengths).
We could debate all day that he doesn’t win enough headers etc , my view is with his back to goal against 2/3 centre backs he was ineffective ( so was Wood tbh the longer the season went ).
We simply didn’t have the midfield engine room and creativity to feed wood or weghorst imo anyway - Dyche tactics and luck finally ran out.
You can add to all that that he missed 6 really good chances which could well have been our saviour. That is the way it goes and all strikers go through these patches.
It is obvious from his record that he certainly can play and he knows where the goal is because his stats stand up for themselves.
Fate - a strange thing UG but I’m with you at least I come away from games now knowing we’re competitive- that wasn’t football as it should be last year, negative journey home every week .
So I’m with you a new era and new way of playing - long may it continue
Houston I have a problem. My six-year-old grandson got his first season ticket this time round.
Trouble is he really thinks we win every game 3-0 and we play every opposing team off the park.
It will be interesting to see how he reacts when we are back in the EPL next season. XD
Deal agreed between Burnley & United for Wout. I think its just waiting for the Turkish side to agree.
