In one respect Vinni has only himself to blame, he knew as well as we did that Muric was an accident waiting to happen, but he kept playing him.

I think that the vitriol aimed at Muric is way over the top. I accept his attempts against Watford was a calamity but I have seen other keepers and those at Burnley make many mistakes in the past. Overall he is a good keeper and we should support him especially in the circumstances he finds himself in. He does come and collect for corners and freekicks regularly. His confidence will have been knocked but as supporters we need to give him our support to get him back to normal
I think you go to the games Lancaster, if so you'll have seen more of him than I have, and you say he's a good keeper. Fair enough, you see him every home game and I only see him on the TV games. he must be performing well when the cameras aren't there, because from what I've seen of him he's one of the worst goalkeepers I've ever seen playing professional football, and I've been watching since the 50s.
I don't worry about players getting criticised on forums like this, for a start I would hope they have better things to do with their time than read what me and others think about them, and any stick players get on a msgboard will be as nothing compared to the stick they get off their manager when they cock up in a game.
At last the voice of reason Lancaster , yes it was a mistake but he wasn’t on his own, we couldn’t keep a ball never mind pass it and yet he’s the brunt of all criticism.
Reality is we’ve been spoilt for the last 10 years with outstanding shot stopping and keepers who come and collect the ball with real confidence all the time, imo anyway he has been improving but Tuesday was just a bad mistake.
The game has finally arrived where our goalkeeper has made a mistake and cost us a goal. Its took a long time and the knives have been well and truly sharpened over the months waiting for this very moment.
The guy is an absolute class act. I agree as predominantly a shot stopper he might not be the best but what he brings in other departments is just awesome to watch
In my top 5 players of the season and that's saying something.
Move with the times guys
Looking at the goals against table Burnley have conceded just 27 league goals this season. That makes us the joint meanest defence in the division and Muric has quite clearly played his part in achieving that however haphazard you may consider some of his performances. I should also point out that I am head of an organisation called the Arijanet Muric Operatic Kompany. In short I run AMOK. It is what it is as they say and when it isn’t quite what it should be I trust VK to put it right. Muric is as many have pointed out no Tom Heaton or Nick Pope but I think the manager gets that. When the time comes we may find a new keeper between the sticks.
All VK needs to do is tell Aro if he mishaps again he will have to listen to this 100 times piped into a locked and padded room down Gawthorpe.
