I would agree that it seemed a waste yesterday. Nothing to do with Chicksen but he wasn't given a pass for 25 minutes!! The first touch he had, he tried the early cross like Jones does. It did seem odd that for whatever reason he wasn't getting the ball
The board is for opinion. Good or bad!! As long g as its not offensive.
Chicken didn't get the ball yesterday because he didn't want it. He made the movement to get high but then never actually showed for the ball. If he went high and then made a 3/4 yard run towards the ball he'd have got it.
He looked scared to make a mistake and as a result was exceptionally ineffective.
Nemane was stifled on the left though so the only mitigation is i think the mk dons right was stronger defensively then the right.
I"m convinced now that LW's Notts play to different strategies down the flanks per the side in front of us. The number of times AN goes infield in the second half vs the first half, the deliberately tight positioning of Bostock and Chicksen on their right side yesterday, the difference and switches when JJ's playing...
yesterday we lost some of the dynamism that is MP and JB in defensive mid, but it's hard to really judge how well that worked as we went a long way to neutralizing their potency albeit at some cost to our own.
I'd say 2 things: that fans need to think about the bigger game picture rather than just who gets the ball more, and 2, watch how effective the other team are on the flank we 'solidify'
Defo love Crowley, he's looking like the buy of the season, Ruben who?, and surprise given Didzy, but who knows how it will all turn out! And defo rate Aaron Nemane and Jodi Jones (noticable by his abscence yesterday). Honestly, for those doubting AN, you need to think about what he's being asked to do. It's like Macca, he could be dropping back / or AN hitting hte byline far more than he is, but they're following LW's strategic vision of the game.
I thought it was a little cagey to bring JOB on instead of Randell / Morias against MKD. That said, LW's overall tactical nous is looking more and more astute to me.

I don't think that we will descend to levels previous, as TFTY is not taking the bait this time, of those who got him hooked last time. Fair play TFTY.
