WBA Post Match Thoughts

LR needs to stop the rot asap and give us hope in league 1 next season. Players like Hugill should not play again. He spends most of his time on his arse looking for a foul which he never gets. Eaves did much more on the pitch when he came on.

There are too many players not playing for their shirt. The players who do are sat on the bench. Its simple if you dont put the effort in you dont play.

Assuming we still have them, build the team round Odoffin, Kelly, Tehi, Lyndsey, Rathbone, Nombe, Humphries next season Sadly we need to cash in on Viktor but please not for 2 bob..

There needs to be a massive clear out, Unfortunately we will prob be stuck with Hugill but someone might be daft enough to take him on loan,

Sorry MT this is not dissimilar to the Stubbs fiasco except you came across as a nicer bloke but still very naive. LR needs to do the job that Warne did when he took over.

Good luck LR. Tnink it will take at least a couple of transfer windows but I do believe he will know how to turn us round given time.

We've got to bottom out then rebuild but fans are already jumping ship. Nothing much positive to say about our performance tonight not much we can do to change anything while January then it's looking like it will be too late.

Mercer was at the match watching Victor.

Everton are keeping a close eye on him.

We don't have many options but playing Bramall in a front 3 just because he's fast is Sunday morning stuff. He hasn't got a trick in his locker. That's why he's a full back. The idea of him playing in an advanced role needs putting to bed. Appiah is absolutely hopeless as a player. He doesn’t even look fit half the time. What does he actually do? He can't pass. He can't run. He can't make anything happen. Atrocious player. Hugill? Can't wait to see the back of him.

That team tonight would struggle against most L1 teams, we are literally that bad.

The sooner we can get rid of some of the absolute dross in this squad the better.

A hard watch. I'm not critical of the players efforts tonight. West Bromwich were pretty solid at the back. Sadly, it needed more guile than we had to break through.
I don't think much can be changed in the January window, concentrate on the Summer, where we can hopefully begin building a younger, fitter team
How many more fouls was their number 4 going to commit before he got booked? I counted at least 6. Wonder what Saturday's ref would have made of it?

Positives tonight - Revan had his best game at LB - my MoM. And at last we tried to play it out from the back rather than hoofball.

Spoke with a Baggie before the game who said WBA would bore the pants off us. He wasn't wrong - they were dreadful. I don't recall Victor making a save and their two goals came from schoolboy errors from Dex and Morrison.

A disappointing and depressing night on which any remaining enthusiasm from our early season promise was totally extinguished. Ah well, been here before!
