I think it maybe why he gets less stick at games as he does put in a fair amount of effort. Trouble is if the three behind him don’t score his weakness sticking it away is exposed.
Rutter needs to add more regularly goals to everything else he does well if he wants to step up if we get to PL.
We also slack goals from Kamara and Gruev.
When you play a single striker up then that player must have pace and put the ball in the net!
We don’t currently have that.
If we don’t have that we end up in the championship
The midfield of kamara and gruev plus centre backs from corners need to weigh in with goals.
Kamara seems scared to shoot for some strange reason , he’s had a few good chances to pull the trigger but always looks for the pass , just put yer feckin foot through it ffs.
Ironic when you consider that many (including Kamara) seem disinclined to shoot but who might score if they did, and we have Rutter who in the basis of one quite stunning strike seems to think he's a latter-day Lasher!Quote:

This season pretty sure Piroe and Bambi are the only ones to score from distance - at least 5 yards outside the area - in normal play (as opposed to the Dan James broken play) - so could be some truth in what you say.
In a similar "modern football is rubbish" throbbing vein, there seem to have been a lot of comedy goals scored when teams insist on playing pointless (and seemingly endless) tippy tappy with their goalkeepers who ultimately get closed down by opposition forwards only to see the ball bounce off the latter into an open net.
Rubbish goals. Classic FAFO.
Should. Never. Happen.
Going forward? Mix it up. Occasionally shoot from distance and, when you do, immeditely follow up to see if there are any scraps to feed on.
