If the Premier League do scrap PSR and allow clubs to spend what they want, I wonder who Newcastle will bring in as manager
The one thing that fans aren't talking about is the fact that in the EPL all the FFP/PSR rules are proposed and voted on by the 20 clubs themselves. Masters and his cadre of clowns do not impose these rules on the clubs.
So the clubs need to have a very frank and honest conversation. These rules hurt all clubs top to bottom. Trying to stop certain clubs flexing their obvious enormous financial muscles just isn't working.
The horse has bolted. It was half way across the paddock when Chelsea won the UCL. It was over the hills and far away when QSI & the City group parked their tanks of the European Champions League lawn.
All these nonsense rules are the financial equivalent of putting plasters on bullet wounds.
A pathetic thinly veiled attempt to keep the likes of Juventus, Man United and Barcelona relevant in the new era of Billionaire ownership.
The only constant is change, Real Madrid have changes with the times. When Franco ran Spain, his henchmen threated murder of Barca families to ensure victory. After his demise Real, Juve & Man U all perfected the art of football corruption. Leading to decades of dominance in their domestic leagues. Liverpool and a few others also learnt the dark arts.
They wrote the blueprint that is now being perfected by the likes of City and PSG. One more successful than the other. However, now the original crooks are pressuring the football Authorities to shut down this kind of legalised fraud and corruption to protect unfair advantages.
Hubris indeed. HOWAY THE LADS!
