Also need players with the ability to get on the end of them. Wood had that. Head on to clear it defending, head on it to score from free kicks and corners. For his height, Michael Smith wasn't really a threat at corners with his head. We don't seem to have anyone like Wood now. And if you haven't got that, do something else, like a cute routine for it to end up at Nombe's feet in the 6 yard box or Wilks is quite capable of smashing it in from the edge of the box.Quote:
