You and I will probably live a couple of years longer than folks 50 years ago so the situation has to change, otherwise pension costs go up, and that has to be paid for, usually through taxation. Waspi women? Kerching, taxation. Of course, if the Tories had left a war-chest instead of a ?22 billion black hole things would look a lot brighter. This Government already has to pay for the Post Office scandal and the infected blood compensation, neither of which were costed into Tory budgeting. The problems of a handful of pensioners, farmers and retirement-aged women are unfortunately collateral damage to try and fix the mess that the country has been left in. And businesses, after 14 years of mollycoddling, have to pay their share too.

I am gonna take a guess and presume its an explanation as to why Labour are right to deny the WASPI women their money,politicians are all the same and only look after themselves no matter what party they belong to so I am dropping my thoughts on the subject
