Renewing a season ticket
On the Millers Mad board, how many are supporters who pay the concession fee for their season ticket.
Pricing for the North stand 2024-25 season in pounds sterling.
Renewal price ........... 405 ........... New price ........ 445
Concession price ....... 265 ........... New price ........ 290
Juvenile price ........... 130 ........... New price ........ 140
Junior price .............. 110 ........... New price ........ 115
So a big saving for most of MM posters on the board, be it concession price hits in at 60 year old,
where a lot of other clubs concession price hits in at 65 years of age.
So 265 for me, which I am happy to pay, where else can you get entertainment for 11 pounds 50 pence
a game, on 23 games in the season.
Meeting up with family & friends & fellow supporters in the pub before & after a game, plus meeting
fellow fans who have sat round you in the stadium for quite a few years.
Looking at the drival that was published by the club, when selling season tickets.

Steve Evans is not so popular, after results this season, with bad in-coming transfers , &
the challenge at the top end of league one has not materialized.
Like another point mentioned, if you have a decent seat at NYS, you will want to keep that seat,
I shall renew my season ticket, but I am not happy with the club.

People travel from all over the country to watch the Millers and it is getting more expensive. The actual amount spent at clubs isn?t that big compared with the other places people visit. The pubs, parking, fuel, food etc.
If I was still in Rotherham I?d definitely have a season ticket and wouldn?t hesitate for next season or any other.
I guess I will renew although it's not out of any blind loyalty to the club or because I've enjoyed anything that's happened over the last couple of seasons.
It's really just become a habit that I'm too old to break now and the fact that I enjoy meeting up with friends I've known for years on matchdays.
In reality the football part is just a bit of an unfortunate sideshow nowadays.
Something I think the club should be concerned about is its lack of effort to develop continuity of support through younger generations.
I think it's fair to say that a good number of us have taken our kids and/or grandkids to matches but retaining their enthusiasm as they get older and become interested in other things is more difficult.
There is a chap who sits in front of me who has been bringing his grandson for the last 7 seasons. They are both season ticket holders but the boy is now about 13, says he is bored with the football on offer and isn't bothered about coming to the games any more.
The grandad isn't enjoying the football either and says if his grandson doesn't want to go to the games he's not bothered about going on his own so he won't be renewing their season tickets.
I wonder how many more examples there are like this?
Likewise frog, if I lived back in Rotherham, I'd have a season ticket, just like all of those bleak, bleak years in the 80s before I moved away. It's not so much the game, it's the meet up before (dear old Moulders!) and just the chat and laughs whatever the game was like. I think a few of us were there for our lowest ever Milmoor attendance (1.5k wasn't it) and regular attendance was around 3.5k. Still loved going every week, and still do whenever I get to see them now.

I returned from a long spell abroad in 2013 to witness the most enjoyable decade of football as a RUFC supporter. One or two poor seasons won't deter me from buying into the dream of greater things to come. That said, there's a nasty atmosphere around NYS at present and the goodwill that's been built up over the previous 10 years could evaporate very quickly if our current management team don't change their tactical approach and learn some humility and honesty - we were spoiled with Warnie!
I have a 120 mile round trip to attend home games and I consider the match day experience outweighs the inconvenience of the travel. However, I'm so disappointed with spirit around RUFC at present that I'm skipping the Exeter match in favour of a Six Nations day with some mates. So you can deduct at least one from the attendance figure announced at the ground!
