I understood it to be the opposite with a large away following being able to generate a potentially, overwhelming, vocal support for their team like Coventry did as already mentioned.
What's the capacity of the family stand?

Does anyone know why the away fans end of the Sirrel is the Haydn Green side?
Surely moving the away fans to the side closer to the kop would result in an increased vocal support due to the competition of fans?
Haydn Green stand has direct access into the meadow lane sports bar, doughnotts as well as the indoor 5 aside pitches that some of the kids play on pre game.
So it's the logical end for families with kids.
Word on the street - when the monorail is complete there will be a second tier built on top of the family stand which is where away fans will be housed from 25-26 season onwards.
I am pretty sure that when the new ground was completed it was stated as a 22000 all seater ground, how can it be realistic for who ever issues the ground safety certificate to reduce the capacity by 6000 what has changed was is unsafe? its a joke I have been to grounds that are unsafe and I doubt there capacity has changed so drastically!!
The ground has around 19000 seats. Football capacity I think is somewhere around 18000. However, you then need to take into account segregation of fans in the JS
Probably closer to 17000 but reduced from that asJS limited due to facilities issues within the stand I believe
It'd be interesting to know where the stadium land boundary is on County Road. Would it be a difficult undertaking to extend the concourse area level with the turnstiles to increase capacity? I doubt the external brick walls have any structural significance?
