All good runs come to an end sometime.
Notts versus Walsall wouldn't surprise me.

Are Chesterfield in form though?
They won 4 games in April but 3 of those against the bottom 4 and the other finished 14th. I?d have fancied our chances.
They drew with Wimbledon and Bradford (as did we) who fumbled (like us) through the last month or so.
Form IMO goes out the window. A good job really as we have been **** at home for too many games. However, there have been fleeting moments which give me hope.
I?m convinced Didzy will be pushing and pulling players through the next 3 games. Not just his play but his pure desire. Abbott too.
We are the bookies favourites but I can see the logic behind picking Chesterfield.
But If I were forced to set the odds, I'd go - Walsall 20%, Chesterfield 28% Notts 26% Wimbledon 25%...those kind of tight margins are no reason for fans' negative thinking, especially after getting through the semis.
Do you think the other three relish facing the best player in the play-offs? Having Didzy doesn't mean we'll win but no, they'll be bricking it.
I don't see the club getting rid of Stuart Maynard even if we fail in the play-offs. That would be more characteristic of previous regimes than this one.
I have to be honest and say I wouldn't look forward to watching the same brand of football if Maynard's around next season, but I don't think these owners are the type to kick out a Head Coach who got us into the play-offs after a bottom half finish last season.
I think they'll take the view that 'reasonable' progress has been made, but much more will be necessary next season, not just in terms of promotion from League Two or survival in League One, but also entertainment value. They've said themselves that they do assess performances just as much as results, and I think it's the performances that have left the most to be desired, especially at home.
Exactly. I may regret saying this but Chesterfield aren't up to much in my opinion. They've had some poor results and performances. This has to be the weakest playoffs for quite some time. The Championship is the same, with only Sheffield United in any sort of form.
Yes, if we played that badly then maybe they would be more open to looking elsewhere. I doubt it would be an instant decision though. These owners aren't the "sacked 15 minutes after the game" type. They would take a few days, look at all the data and factors involved, and reach a carefully considered decision.
