Has to be one of the worst comments this season. Especially for a playoff semi final second leg.
Plus why do people believe all cash is automatically hard earned?

Yes, I know that's an ironic statement but it shows exactly where our problem has been this year, apart from having a 5/10 manager. People have not criticised our owners yet (they will, it's a slow burn) but it shows a deep lack of imagination to buy another African striker from Scandinavia for a promotion push because the last time it half-worked. A club serious about promotion would have gone out and bought an experienced striker from the lower divisions, like the clubs that beat us every week did.
Didn't Man U put Maguire upfront ? Step up Matty Platt with the crosses flying in. Or we're just screwed :(
Ok, here's the cynic in me. The timing of this leads me to believe we won't see Didzy in a Notts shirt again. The news takes the focus off the game somewhat but also allows the fans to display an outpouring of love for the player before the disappointment of play off failure.
It's a risk vs reward situation for the owners. A new contract for a player who will likely have the biggest wage packet in the squad but might only manage 50% of the season might just tip the scales on the side of no contract. I could be wrong but I do think it's going to be Adios Didzy.
A new coach and a more balanced squad might hopefully mean that we dont rely quite so much on an injury prone 38 year old for virtually all our attacking threat.
Ive no idea whether we should offer a new contract to him cos i dont know what his wages would be but it might not be such a bad thing if it is au revoir.
I'm sure we all knew it was the end when he limped off...!! It was all wishful thinking after that...! Het him on the bench as part of the coaching set up for the game !!!..
