The problem with that is he usually gets the ball with his back to goal then lays it off, the cross goes in but he can't be in 2 places at the same time? We often don't get enough players into the box for the crosses?

I would be happy if we had made some progress on the field in the year that Burchnall has been here
The fact is that we have made no progress, all i have said is that he he was a poor choice of manager with no experience, and the results show this to be true, and to date Burchnall has shown no evidence that he can improve whether their is 20 games or 100 games
Why should i be satisfied with scraping a play off place ??? Is that what us as Notts fans should be gratefull for ??
I suggest you read Psaw post titled "Things have changed." , other clubs think we are a laughing stock, that is clueless, but the real gem of his post is, till your managerial saviour comes, meaning an experienced and successfull manager, not a trainee with no experience like Burchnall
The last time i was here, this board was in tumult, a collective scream at the horror of going non league. And to any observer, including me, highly entertaining.
You seemed to have settled into a casual acceptance of your fate, no longer screaming for sackings of the manager or board. Is that good or bad?, your effortless superiority has been eclipsed by bigger clubs, like Chesterfield, Stockport, Wrexham, Southend and Wealdstone. Yes, Wealdstone is a joke.
What is the chance of County getting out of non league?, this season or next, or even in the near future. Not high is it. Even much smaller clubs can get their act together and shove County out the way. Just look at Div 1, what the f are Fleetwood doing there, even Ilkeston got as big a gate.
There will be and endless troupe of managers and new signings, two years will roll into 4, 6 and ten.
In non league.
Till your saviour comes along managerially. Cambridge had nine years in non league Wrexham more. How long will your stay last. Will it end at all?
Your out of left field suggestion of Richard Money (2007 version) as the manager for the 2021 appointment didn't by any chance come from a Psaw post did it?
Great Post. Also in regards to PSAW then who cares what he says and thinks he's a wind up merchant. Notts aren't a laughing stock in football as most sensible fans know they're only an owner running out of money away from going down the leagues themselves. Infact I was walking the dog in my Notts shirt the other day and someone said is that a Newcastle shirt and I said no Notts County but he didn't roll around on the floor laughing, he said good lad and he ****ing hates forest.
No Notts fan is happy being in this league but we also it's a very hard league to go up from and let's be honest with one more promotion slot we'd have probably already gone up by now. The recruitment is alot better than usual this season, sure we're still short of a centre mid and maybe some more pace in the squad but this from Jackal is correct :
Kyle Cameron, Kyle Wootton, Cal Roberts, Frank Vincent, Matt Palmer, Ruben Rodrigues, Connell Rawlinson, Alex Lacey, Richard Brindley, Joel Taylor and Adam Chicksen have all proven to be good value. Then there's second group like Aaron Nemane, Eli Sam, Ed Francis, Kairo Mitchell and Dion Kelly Evans who have been variable in their performances but still capable, at least as squad players. I don't see much 'dead wood' in the squad these days (i.e. players we sign and dare not play in virtually any circumstances) whereas in the past we regularly used to carry a number of planks.
I've only been to 4 games this season but my dad goes to them all and I believe him when he says the style of football has improved but we're still a little lightweight. The owners have their own methods akin to their fellow Danes at Brentford and why not, it's worked for them. You can get out of this league by playing various types of football as we've seen by the teams going up. I would say the one thing they had and Notts don't is a physicality and energy we lack at times. Still I think people need to calm down and talk of the manager going is crazy, let him have a couple of seasons to build, he's not an idiot and knows as much if not more than us so give him chance, two weeks ago if the game goes ahead against Barnet and we'd have won we'd be sitting pretty so I don't think now if the time to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Post match and as time has progressed this thread has turned into an excellent football/Notts based debate with good contrasting opinions.
Long may this continue.
No progress made.?
For starters we now create chances in abundance in a game , yes we spurn them for fun.Look no further than saturday as evidence, we should have been four up (excluding the outrageous penalty missed) they wouldn't have a way back into the game .
If we took our chances we would be having a different discussion today.
Although the best barometer by far, football is a little bit more complex than that especially when judging a club as a whole.
