Why is that relevant? You said "My reference to Wrexham was that every time their fans saw ML play, they were underwhelmed and they didn't notice he was playing".
Are older goals less important than recent goals?

Im not easily offended I dont care if you dont rate ML its your opinion but one thing is Wrexham fans dont watch him like we do so I wouldnt listen to em.
Mullin is pretty spineless he dropped levels for money / stat padding whilst ML has always moved upwards id say he is 100% better than Mullin.
Jones is quality we all know that but hardest job is putting the ball in the net and its something ML is good at.
Haaland is awful and I mean awful at build up play but give him a chance and he scores.
Great points CBP. There's a lot on here that slag off players for leaving (chasing the pound) or hold them up as though they are some deity. No one can doubt what ML did for Notts. On top of that, he is a very likeable lad. However, he now has his chance to prove it at as higher level and I was saying, on some of the past performances, he didn't stand out against better defences. I hope for him he proves me wrong as long as it isn't against Notts.
I never said I didn't rate Langstaff. I questioned his ability against better-organised defences. As for Mullin, if I was doing a job that I'd probably retire from at 35, I too would follow the dollar. There's many ex-footballers out there who are broke - the newspapers are full of them. I admire him for how he's performed for Wrexham and how he handles himself off the pitch. Notts have signed many players who have 'dropped' down to them and very few of them constantly delivered.
As for Haaland, well he is one of the best centre-forwards I have ever seen and I wouldn't saw I see any weakness in his game.
When you consider the fee acquired for Langstaff and the fee acquired for Williams that's a nice profit in the last six months, we don't need to spend wads of money on replacements we just need to continue the recruitment process thats in place , secure a few players on longer improved contracts and cautiously add new recruits when the opportunity arises.
The funny thing about all this ‘ML didn’t do it against the biggest teams’ is that folk forget that it’s a squad game.
I know some have pointed out that less chances v better sides and that’s probably fact.
However, ML scored in 3 of the 5 games v Wrexham/Chesterfield.
Last season he was not as prolific, and nor were Notts in general. It’s fair to say, that tactically we were blunted by the top L2 sides and as such the whole team struggled. We didn’t really have the changes to help change that.
Some on here have been well and truly ‘done’ but opposition fans saying he didn’t do it against the big teams. Haaland, arguably the best striker in England, does he score every time Citeh play the top sides. Don’t forget how he was described by a none Citeh ‘pundit’ and folk bit.
I have no concerns that Macca will do well if he gets chances.
So VerybigpieLittlepie wasn't telling a very big lie. Interesting scoop.
