Im feeling all de ja vu on this as i think we have been linked with him before and he scored a cracker against us last season. I liked what i saw when he played against us and wouldnt say no, but i wonder if there are definite departures over the next few weeks with Fuchs the obvious one, but Harkes and Hoti are also candidates if they are not interested in staying beyond their current contracts.Quote:

Dundee United have signed Finnish international goalkeeper Carljohan Eriksson.
The 26-year-old, who will join up at Tannadice subject to work permit clearance, has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Eriksson, who was capped by his country in their friendly draw with Wales in September, was a free agent, having just left Swedish top flight side Mjallby AIF.
The Finn made 21 appearances in the 2021 Swedish season to help his side to a ninth place finish.

That's an interesting one. Not sure where that leaves Carson now. Can't see him being happy to play backup again and I don't think we've signed this guy for anything other than first choice.
Probably means Benji away this window in my opinion, but if not then for me the new guy gets the gloves in front of Benji until he does leave. He's been a terrific keeper but we need to be looking to the future.Quote:

Of Siegrist & Eriksson, whoever is the better keeper should play the rest of the season. I'm sure Siegrist is still 100% committed to the cause and the fact he's settled and has the understanding with the defence already, I'd put my money on it being him.

How come we hear stuff about people falling out with Tam, but then we are able to sign a Finnish international keeper without it getting leaked?
