Brexit continuing to eat itself gets funnier and funnier. We’d have left ages ago if they’d just have supported the kind of deal which they campaigned for.
Nothing will be Brexity enough for the true believers. Johnson will just be the next to be purged.
That's the thing. I think given the close ref. result most Brexiters and Remainers would jump at a deal that took UK out of the EU but retained close links and the Customs Union. And despite the headbangers of the ERG (now read Tory party) saying the EU won't negotiate it is only because of the red lines. Go back to them with this and it would be thank you very much, do you want sauce with it.
Yup, I voted remain and have always been pro-remain, but would have been perfectly happy to accept the kind of sensible, compromise customs union and possibly single market deal which was always on the table.
The hard Brexit lobby will end up going down in history as killing their big dream through sheer stubbornness and refusal to consider any kind of compromise.
Johnson's performance in PMQ today was simply appalling. He is surely the most incompetent and brainless PM in many a long year. He is an utter buffoon who is incapable of answering a question or making a meaningful apology. There is no chance he will steer Brexit through because he lacks the nous.
He actually made Corbyn look good and he totally failed to answer any of the leader of the opposition's 5 questions. I only hope Labour denies the pillock a General Election in which Bozo will pose as the answer to Brexit and millions of dimwits will actually fall for it. However, I just don't think there are enough of them to get No Deal over the line.
