So you can't be too harsh on a Fox appointment.

So what do you suggest? A nice bumper contract based on three games and watch him do to us what he did to Cowdenbeath? We should simply ask him to continue in charge on a temporary basis to prove himself. If he thinks after three games he's better than that, then good luck to him.

We are rooted to the bottom of the league as the only club in the country without a win. This is undoubtedly the biggest appointment since Levein. We simply cannot get it wrong.

You've got to think about the candidate, they have wives & families. Liam Fox I'm sure would sign a contract to the end of 22/23. And it's not the manager here that has to be proving himself, it's those who are appointing the manager. No names. And Fox at Cowdenbeath, stop beating that drum. His spell there was over 6 years ago when he was just 34 & there were bigger names than him entering & exiting Central Park during these times.
You must remember our Club is a basket case for manager appointments these days, we're the talk of the steamie out there & beggars can't be choosers.

If the candidate believes in himself, he'll take the chance that he's good enough to succeed in that time. Ten matches to prove he is worth a contract until the end of the season. He'll never get a better opportunity than this. Again, if he thinks his background says otherwise, then good luck to him.

And you are only as good as you last post. Cowdenbeath was his last, and only post, as manager. So sorry for 'beating that drum' but it's all anyone has to go on when talking about his previous managerial experience.

Let him prove himself over a longer period than three games. Give him another ten, then make a better offer, if indeed, he has proven himself.

There isn't, which is why a longer 'trial period' makes sense imo. We have the opportunity to do that when promoting from within. We don't if we are to offer it to an external candidate.

I'm in full agreement, no point rushing into anything yet. If Fox can steer us to our first win against St Johnstone then I'd like to see him given until the WC break to try to get us up the table.

To be fair, things have looked a wee bit better since Foxy has taken over/helped out.
He seems to know which formation suits us best (or is that player influence?)
At least the players seem to be playing for him.
I wouldn't change much just now. Something seems to be slightly better than before. Not sure what it is, but there is a difference in just about everything.

I would let things roll the way they are, and judge or make a big decision if things change when we get back to league duty.

PS: I would luv an inside update on the Glesgae travelers. They seem to be getting a hard time , maybe rightly so, maybe not, but if CM had anything to do with us going back to our known best formation, I don't have the slightest problem with that.

If it's taken Charlie Mulgrew to tell Liam Fox to go back to our best formation, then I'm sorry, but that confirms Liam Fox is not the man for job. 😂

Fair point ADS...But I was thinking in general about folk losing their jobs, which is horrific, and not nice for friends and family and kids to deal with. But, you are correct, the human being that got punted,will not struggle financially, and an ego bruising these days seems to be par for the course in futba management.
