re: Worzels going into administration
I had my reservations when Barker was appointed as he came across as a driven and tactically astute manager. I needn't have worried, in fact quite the opposite.
However, if rumours are to be believed, the PFC board, all 14500 of them, have called a meeting for 10am today. Quite where they'll fit so many owners I have no idea but I'm hoping they keep Barker on. A true Hampshire hero ;D
re: Worzels going into administration
He's alienated the squad and stripped it of any morale; he's angered the fanbase and left them in a state of revolt; he's sent their best player out on loan; using more resources than should have been available, he's built a bloated squad of talentless individuals that has neither fight nor spirit; he [openly] blames everyone but himself; he'll be responsible for driving down attendances (and revenue) at the rathole; he'll see them drop in non-league and into complete obscurity..
He simply has to stay.. :star:

It pains me to say it but that could be your most accurate post ever Papa.
The biggest concern I have is that if we do get rid of this clown we've still got the same bunch selecting his replacement who picked him in the first place. Everyone knew Tisdale or Wilder were better options. Wilder may not yet save Northampton, but he's achieved a lot more there than Barker has at Pompey.
Go on, get stuck in, I can't blame you.
re: Worzels going into administration
After Whittingham was shamefully hounded out of the rathole by his own, I seem to recall a few on here suggesting the new guy wouldn't make it to Easter - hate to say it, but it's starting to look like that may well be the case.
Whilst his departure would be a little disappointing (thought he was doing just fine in the role), jobs-for-the-boys is hardly a sound basis for the appointment of key personnel so it wouldn't come as a great surprise.
Utterly unrealistic fan expectations probably doomed Barker before he stepped through the door - actually feel sorry for the guy if he is handed his P45..
re: Worzels going into administration
If hero Ronnie has been hounded out, I'd like to see the queue of failed managers queuing up for that particular gig >:)
re: Worzels going into administration
So has that grubby little, charity thieving, community owned (XD ) excuse of a football club hounded out yet another manager yet?
