... and another on the events at Hillsborough.

I guess the two will always be connected but, if this thread is anything to go by, one completely overshadows the other.

If it was Southampton fans who died that day would you feel different? If a National newspaper suggested that it was the fault of other Southampton fans that 96 of your friends and family died, would you feel different?

Ignore the fact it was Liverpool and look at the bigger picture. Yeah we know that Scousers have a reputation and they can't claim innocence over Hysel, but they were victims of a horrendous blame game and cover up here and the 96 who died deserve better.

Always wondered why Liverpool,who had the bigger following on the day,were given the smaller Leppings Lane end and the Forest fans had enough room to swing a cat on the home kop.

One theory is if that if they were given the opposite ends the fans would have crossed paths thus creating the threat of unwanted hooliganism.

If that's the case it's probably fair to say this tragic event would not have happened if there was no such thing as hooligan firms.

I am firmly in the want to see Liverpool win it. In the main as Chelski and Citeh are all that is wrong with the game...spend spend spend and spend some more to ensure winning. OK, Liverpool have not exactly been thrifty, but they do have a good core of English Players and have spent no where near the obscene levels the other two have.
