so, the woman at 1. is a mother and a grandmother
the daughter at 2. is a mother and a daughter
the daughter at 3. is also a granddaughter

i.e. one grandmother, 1 granddaughter, 2 mothers and 2 daughters.
Simples.

It means the grandmother could be the granddaughter's uncle as well. :D

The paragraph below (taken from 'The Great Gatsby') is very unusual. How quickly can you find out what is so unusual about it?
