We won again tonight btw - happy days for the BLADES.
The way I play golf sometimes I might as well be a caddy!
Phipp's recent interview does not sum up your club's overall handling of the issue, which has overall been embarrassing. The statement made on 18th October to simply state the club haven't offered a rapist a contract yet but are continuing think about it despite having the past 2 and a half years to think about it is a bit embarrassing.
Have the club made any statement in relation to how they view rape and why they would consider employing someone on a healthy contract having been convicted of this crime whilst previously employ

Following your train of thought Wednesday endorse cowardly unprovoked criminal thuggery and perjury.
If you had read my posts at the time you would know I would rather we had washed our hands of Madine at the time.
However, the crimes are hardly comparable, Madine was contrite, apologetic and in full admission of what he had done wrong - (not to his girlfriend and family only).
The club made a statement in the immediacy of his release, stating the seriousness of his crime, the fact the he admitted fault and that in doing so they would be able to support him in his rehabilitation and work on addressing his issues.
Your club are thinking about goals, had it been someone like Connor Brown who had committed and been convicted of this offence it woul

I don’t even think you know what you’re arguing about now. You’re just lashing out in anti United spasms.
You and those who attacked the victim share one thing in common, transferring your anger onto innocent parties. None of this is the victim’s fault or United’s fault … it’s one mans. In the hysteria this seems to get lost on far too many.
You want a grandiose statement from United but as we’ve just learnt from Evans recent poorly judged statement that sometimes saying nothing at all is the best course of action.
Jim Phipps’ interview with Giddins sated me. Once again can you tell me what part of what Phipps said was embarrassing? What part of us not instantly resigning him is embarrassing? No rush for an answer, take your time and have a good think about it.

I wouldn't want to encourage him. Nice in theory that such a senior figure is available via social media terrible in practice.
I trust we both agree with his latest comments regarding the abuse of Charlie Webster for having the audacity to criticise the prodigal son. It's the individuals making fools of themselves, not the club - they're also doing more harm to the chances of seeing the rapist back in United colours which in my book is only a good thing.
I'd have liked a more definite response from United but acknowledge they're between a rock and a hard place. Different groups need appeasement and as a courtesy to his on-going efforts to clear his a hatchet job statement was never on the cards. If we had Jim Phipps involved at the time of the conviction I'm confident things would have been handled better.

Agree with your second paragraph although as Mr. Phipps stated, they are venting their vulgar spleens in the nam

Classless comment...& shows like some other Blades on footymad they are willing to throw in Hillsborough disaster jibes in order to score points away from the topic itself.

Yep, it's right up there with "Wednesday have always had blood on their hands".
FFS.
re: A comforting thought for you
My subtle comment was fully justified aussie, it was also necessary – and I’ll tell you for why.
It puts into perspective the whole current hysteria and also shows the rank hypocrisy of those Wednesdayites attacking United (who lets remember have done absolutely nothing wrong, legally or morally) who stayed silent about the many misdemeanours and improprieties committed by SWFC regarding the ‘disaster’.
You may think that’s a gut punch but it needed to be said.
