re: Queens v Dumbarton
A very good performance in tough conditions.
I agree with earlier comment - team is playing better under Fowler than McIntyre.
As others have said back four move the ball about efficiently and do not resort to launching aimless punts upfield unless there is no other option. Durnan Dowie and Higgy have been outstanding in most games - a few blips but generally excellent. Hotly is one of the players that has a lot of potential - I feel that he is playing ok but there should be more toncome.
Kerr and McShane are an excellent midfield partnership - both played very well and difficult to see them being dislodged very easily by returning players.
Danny having a better season and I like the look of Kiltie although have not seen much of him. He makes a lot of great runs (ball doesn't always arrive) but he looks like a player and will give Ian Russell some strong competition for the left sided berth.
Baird played very well - not an easy role against a back 5 yesterday but he was a big th

re: Queens v Dumbarton
A good feeling to win so comfortably with a bit of a disjointed performance. We limited Dumbarton to about three real chances one of which brought out a fine and important save from Zander but our own play in attack was not of recent standards.Baird and Lyle for me were very wasteful in possession with Baird untidy with passing and Lyle not involved enough especially the first half. There were one piece of quality and link up play fell for Delboy to stick away his header.
The back four were dominant and Kerr and McShane worked really hard to break up play but without the fluent passing game of recent weeks.
I thought that the Sons were really poor for a side packed with experience but they missed their two best players of last season of Kane and the departed McGinn.Murray didn't seem to have a very positive set up.
Hibs next up and i am sure the boys will raise their game and give Hibs plenty of problems.
